Typically, the first visit serves as an initial intake meeting and is an hour in length. ‬‪If the individual/family decides to proceed with treatment, sessions are booked generally on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. The amount of visits required is determined on a case by case basis.‬

Assessments generally involve 4-5 appointments. The first is an initial intake meeting with parents‬. Following this, ‬‪2-3 sessions with the child/adolescent occur (these are usually 2-2.5 hours in length)‬. The final visit is a feedback meeting with parents (the adolescent may attend). At this appointment, or shortly thereafter, parents are provided a‪ written report detailing assessment findings and recommendations. ‬‪The entire process (from intake to final report) typically takes 4-6 weeks. Updated assessments and assessments for gifted placements might differ in terms of number of sessions required.
